General Preparations
Please bring inspiration photos and have a clear idea of the look you’re aiming for.
Be prepared to ask any questions you may have, including but not limited to cost, maintenance, longevity, time spent in the chair, and at-home hair care products.
Arrive with dry hair. It’s easier to discuss your desired style when your hair is dry.
Avoid excessive products or hairsprays in your hair, as they can make brushing or applying hair color uncomfortable.
Please refrain from wearing favorite articles of clothing, turtlenecks, hoodies, or anything white. Color smocks are provided by the salon, and you are welcome to change into one if you're more comfortable. Even if you choose a smock, you'll still be draped with an appropriate cape for your service.
Be honest about any previous color treatments. This helps me customize the formula to achieve the desired result. Disclaimer: If undesired results occur due to non-disclosure of your full color history, you will still be charged 100% for the services rendered. Additional charges may apply for color corrections.
Bring a snack! Some color services can take 3-6 hours, and I want to make sure your experience remains enjoyable.
Salon-quality shampoo is recommended to maintain your results. Please consider this additional cost for your home hair-care routine.
Hair Color & Highlights
Arrive with dry hair.
Hair should be no more than 2 days dirty for color services.
If you're receiving grey coverage, it's recommended to arrive with hair no more than 1 day dirty. Natural oils can block the color from penetrating and affect coverage.
If you have a clarifying shampoo, use it before your appointment to remove any build-up.
On-Scalp Bleach
Arrive with dry hair.
Hair should be 3+ days dirty to allow natural oils to protect your scalp from irritation.
Avoid caffeine before your appointment, as it can increase scalp sensitivity.
Extensions
Shampoo and condition your hair the morning of your extension appointment.
Arrive with dry hair.
Do not apply any leave-in products before your appointment, including conditioners, detanglers, creams, frizz serums, treatments, or styling aids. These products can affect the adhesion of your extensions, which may "slip" out within a few days after installation.
If you have a clarifying shampoo, please use it before your appointment to remove any build-up.
If you wish to do any masques, deep conditioning, or protein/moisture treatments, please do so at least 7 days prior to your appointment.
Do not arrive with wet hair. Extensions cannot be applied to wet hair, and blow-drying will take extra time and may incur additional charges.
